Pastors and Admin Staff
Today I would like to emphasize our people, especially our ministers and administrative staff, who help build up the body of Christ here at Worthington Presbyterian Church. Pastor Tom, our pastor for discipleship, guides all our Christian Education activities including our Preschool, Children, Youth, and Adults.
I have been touched by the adult education sessions held by Pastor Tom. He has also been helpful to me in my faith journey as I explored reading about the early Church, the Gospel of Mark, and Proverbs which he provided. Pastor Tom also leads our Mission activities. He has been helpful in my leadership of Community Meals. I have enjoyed his involvement in the Y Dinners. I didn’t think you could have fun pounding nails, but the Habitat for Humanity Project taught me otherwise
Pastor Betsy, our pastor for Member Ministries, leads our membership and fellowship activities, the Deacons and the Stephen Ministry. She does the bulk of the visitations to all of us when we or our families are in need. She has guided and encouraged me as a Deacon with her easy manner and kindness.
Commissioned Elder Peter leads the monthly International Services. I have enjoyed his walking around style and his demand that we respond during his sermons with an amen or other words to emphasize we are following his teachings.
We look forward to our new Senior Pastor in 2025.
To the administrative staff. Doug Fell, our Executive Administrator, is an extremely exceptional general and financial manager. It is very fortunate that we have had his management and financial talents as we faced our many challenges over the past several years. He is very careful, cheerful, writes clearly and precisely and communicates well to all those folks with whom he interacts.
Jen Edse, our communications coordinator and webmaster, has helped me with my communications needs whether it was for the community meal, the nominating process, or the generosity campaign.
Shana Heath, our administrative assistant, has always been cheerful and helpful and directed me to the right person if she could not help me herself. Brittany Siringer, our bookkeeper, has been diligent in ensuring all our pledges and other accounting activity have been properly recorded. I look forward to her quarterly statement to insure I am on track.
As you prayerfully consider your pledge this fall, consider the exceptional ministers and administrative staff we are blessed with and please respond in a likewise exceptional way. Thank you.
