Facilities Staff
If you’re like me, most of our visits to church are on Sunday mornings.
It’s always nice to see that the lights are on, the heating or air conditioning running (depending on the season) and that the sanctuary, washrooms and hallways are clean.
This doesn’t happen by magic!
Rather, our dedicated staff of Facilities Manager Dave Matthias, plus Custodians Bryon Irving and Robert Dent (who doubles as Chef) work behind the scenes all week to clean and maintain our church buildings. A portion of the annual budget goes to pay for their labor as well as for utilities, maintenance and repairs.
Our buildings are not new, so it takes a good deal of work by these outstanding staff members and our volunteers to keep things in good shape. As I’m sure you know, inflation and other factors are driving cost increases in many areas, for example utilities, so we’re asking that members increase their pledges by 3.3% above their 2023 contributions.
Please keep this in mind as you respond generously to this year’s pledge campaign.
Thank you!
