Session Update

September 12th, 2024

Below is a brief summary of the September 9 Session meeting:

Session approved a job description for a Senior Pastor. This is a very important and helpful piece for the Pastor Nominating Committee to share with senior pastor candidates.
Session appointed two Elders to work with the Personnel Committee to fine tune an Annual Review Process and Annual Performance Review for the Senior Pastor.
Session approved having a support team for a new Senior Pastor for the first 12-18 months of transition/acclimation to WPC and central Ohio. The support team will have one member of the Personnel Committee and one member of the Pastor Nominating Committee.
Session approved calling for a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, September 29, after the 10am service to elect elders, deacons, and members of the nominating committee.
Session scheduled a special Session meeting on Sunday, October 13 to receive new members.
