I have received such a gracious welcome in my first week of ministry--my heart is full! I have begun appreciating the many ways that WPC is living its vision, "In Christ's love, we connect, serve and transform."
At the preschool's Field Day and the Presbyterian Women's gathering, God's children of all ages delighted to be together. At the Community Friendship Dinner, servers and guests shared how much the meal means to them.
The joy at the Prayer Shawl ministry spoke to their enjoyment of each other, and to their gladness in conveying through their handiwork God's presence and compassion for struggling people.
It is a gift to come into a church so alive with the Spirit of Jesus!
I look forward to making my way further into WPC's life. I know that my early months as your pastor will include lots of discovery of how God is making the church to be a blessing, both to each other and the community. As I begin, you have been a blessing to me.

Join us on the front lawn of the church Saturday, May 31 as we come together to build a home for a local family. Our final TNT of the year will be a party at Mirolo Pavilion (Thomas Worthington High School). Join us for hot dogs, brats, games (kickball, anyone?), and a few surprises! RSVP and sign up to bring a dish! We'll also raffle off a few mystery prizes! Friends and family welcome.
We'll be serving residents in New Orleans whose homes were damaged by hurricanes and who lack the resources for repairs. This trip will challenge and inspire our youth, helping them grow in powerful and meaningful ways. Click the button for more. Deadline to register: May 12.
