Introducing: Our New Interim Coordinator of Children's Ministries

Welcome, Annie!

Our Children's Ministries Search Committee (Doug Fell, Kate Lane, Nancy Case, Sandy Mundy, and Pastor Tom Rice) are thrilled to announce Annie Barner as our Interim Coordinator of Children's Ministries.

Annie will begin on Tuesday, October 3. We very much look forward to her ministry with us and with our children!

Annie is a new resident of Columbus, having recently relocated from Burlington, North Carolina this summer. Annie is a double graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro having earned her B.S. degree in elementary education and M.Ed. degree this May.

She has had the privilege of being an elementary school teacher for the past five years, loving, first and foremost, the meaningful relationships she developed with her students.

Annie grew up as an active member and youth elder in her home Presbyterian church, was a core member of her UKirk campus ministry in college, and served as a youth ministry intern at First Presbyterian Church Greensboro while she was studying in school.

Annie spent summers working and volunteering in various leadership positions with students ages six months through 12th grade at Montreat Camp and Conference Center, PC(USA), in Montreat, NC, and at Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference Center, PC(USA), in Harrisonburg, VA.

Annie's husband, Taylor, is our Presbytery's new OSU campus minister at Jacob's Porch. We look forward to Annie sharing her gifts of teaching and Christian faith with the children and families of WPC.
